Always a joy to surround myself with the St. Monica's community, and especially spending some quality work and study time at Holy Grounds! Employing previously incarcerated youth is a beautiful opportunity for growth for these young people, and I cannot help but be moved by them every time. Their service is honorable and they care about their daily visitors. Definitely patient with some intense visitors who come through, also. I've ordered lattes and coffee and snacks from Holy Grounds. Smoothies are frozen fruit, so not powdered! Always happy!

One of my favorite cafes in Santa Monica. It's affiliated with the church and has a small bookstore inside. The staff are always friendly, the wifi is good, and seating in comfortable. It's never too crowded as it's not really your standard cafe given the church context. In the morning they get fresh pastries from Urth Cafe which are always tasty.

A coffeehouse and a Catholic bookstore rolled into one? Need to buy a rosary while getting your caffeine fix? Holy Grounds has got you covered! With a Starbucks seemingly on every corner in Santa Monica, take a chance and check out Holy Grounds. Friendly barristas, great coffee, and tasty bakery options. Great iced tea as well - ask for the Ave Maria blend. Seriously, don't let the name scare you away.

The guys working are super nice and attentive, they are definitely in good spirit. I felt so welcome and humbled. The drink was very delicious too. I ordered an iced latte. I highly recommend this coffee shop.
